Abstract

Islamic education plays a vital role in shaping the character and morals of students, especially in the context of societies rich in local culture. This study aims to explore the integration of Islamic education and local culture in creating a harmonious and culturally rich educational environment. Using a qualitative approach, the research analyzes practices that combine Islamic values with local traditions in various educational institutions. The findings indicate that this integration not only strengthens the cultural identity of students but also enhances tolerance and understanding between cultures. Furthermore, a harmonious educational environment fosters creativity and innovation in learning. This study recommends the development of curricula that accommodate both religious values and local culture as a strategic step in nurturing a generation that is not only religious but also appreciative of the cultural wealth surrounding them.
