This study aims to analyze student participation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) and its impact on their spiritual understanding. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach in several schools. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving students, teachers, and parents. The results indicate that active student participation, both in class discussions and extracurricular activities, significantly contributes to their understanding and practice of religious teachings. Additionally, support from teachers and the school environment plays a crucial role in enhancing student engagement. This study recommends the development of more interactive teaching strategies to encourage greater student participation in IRE learning.
