Abstract

Educational technology has significantly transformed various aspects of the learning process, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The implications of educational technology in the IRE learning process include changes in teaching methods, enhanced access to information, and alterations in the interaction between educators and learners. This article explores how the application of technology, such as e-learning platforms, mobile applications, and social media, can enrich the IRE learning experience. Technology enables educators to present material in a more interactive and engaging manner, such as through instructional videos, online quizzes, and virtual discussion forums. Additionally, technology facilitates access to a broader and more in-depth range of reference sources, allowing learners to study independently and flexibly. However, challenges such as the need for adequate infrastructure and potential digital divides must be addressed to optimize the application of technology in IRE. By effectively integrating technology, the IRE learning process can become more dynamic, relevant, and aligned with the needs of contemporary learners.
