Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, including the teaching of Islamic Religious Education (IRE). Teachers are required to develop digital-based learning to make the instructional process more effective, interactive, and aligned with technological advancements. This study aims to describe the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in developing digital-based learning at SDN SN Surgi Mufti 1 Banjarmasin and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach using a field research design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers, the school principal, and students. Data were analyzed through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while triangulation techniques were applied to ensure data credibility. The findings reveal that the teachers' efforts to develop digital-based learning include instructional planning, the utilization of digital media and technological devices, the implementation of diverse teaching methods, and the application of technology-based assessment. Supporting factors include the availability of adequate school facilities and infrastructure, strong support from the school principal, teachers' professional competence, and students' enthusiasm for learning. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors consist of limited internet connectivity, differences in students' technological proficiency, and insufficient supporting facilities. Therefore, the successful implementation of digital-based learning requires competent teachers and adequate technological infrastructure to ensure that the objectives of Islamic Religious Education are achieved effectively.
