Abstract

Islamic religious education is not only conducted through formal methods in schools or madrasahs but also involves significant non-formal aspects. The implications of non-formal learning include character development, spiritual understanding, and the integration of Islamic values into daily life. Activities such as group discussions, community study sessions, and community-based learning enable learners to experience a more contextual and practical form of education. Other implications include the enhancement of social and emotional skills, as well as the application of Islamic values across various aspects of life, contributing to the formation of a better and more harmonious individual within society. This study explores how non-formal learning enriches the experience of Islamic religious education and its impact on individual and community development. Non-formal learning also strengthens community bonds and fosters social awareness through social programs based on Islamic teachings. Activities such as volunteering, community initiatives, and discussion forums provide opportunities for individuals to apply religious values directly and increase their engagement in society. Furthermore, non-formal learning can adapt to different individual needs, offering flexibility in methods and approaches, making it easier to accept and apply in daily life. This study investigates how non-formal learning plays a role in enhancing Islamic religious education experiences and its impact on individual and community development, as well as how it can be more effectively integrated into the education system to achieve more holistic educational goals
