Abstract

This study examines the role of the Education Council in improving educational standards. The main focus of the research is on curriculum development, quality monitoring, teacher training and development, facility enhancement, evaluation and accreditation, and collaboration with stakeholders. These functions include curriculum design, setting evaluation guidelines, and the development and training of educators. With the presence of the Education Council, it is expected that there will be alignment between educational policies and their implementation on the ground, ensuring that educational standards are consistently and effectively met. Additionally, the Education Council acts as a facilitator of educational innovation. It plays a role in facilitating research, development, and application of the latest educational technologies that can enhance the quality of learning. Collaboration between the Education Council and various stakeholders, such as the government, educational institutions, parents, and the community, is crucial for the success of the education system. The research method used is library research. This study employs a library research approach based on a search of several articles, journals, and other scholarly works related to the keywords provided. The researcher then collects, analyzes, and selects these sources to draw conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the Education Council plays a vital role in enhancing educational standards. The Council can contribute to improving education quality by providing a relevant curriculum, monitoring quality, training teachers, developing facilities, conducting evaluations and accreditations, collaborating with stakeholders, advancing educational technology, and raising public awareness. Quality monitoring by the Education Council can help improve student achievements, as students receive better and higher-quality education. Teacher training provided by the Education Council can also enhance teachers' abilities, leading to more effective education. Collaboration with stakeholders further helps build public trust in the education system, as the community can see that the education system is being managed well and effectively.
