Abstract

This study aims to assess the challenges and strategies in implementing Islamic education in remote areas with limited access. Islamic education in these areas is often faced with various obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, inadequate human resources, and minimal access to quality educational materials. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in several remote areas. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges include difficulties in providing adequate educational facilities, limited access to technology, and low motivation to learn among students. In response, several strategies implemented include the use of communication technology for distance learning, training for local educators, and developing a curriculum that is relevant to local conditions. This study provides insights into effective approaches that can be adopted to improve the quality of Islamic education in areas with limited access, as well as recommendations for policy makers and education practitioners in designing appropriate interventions
