Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of the Education Council in improving educational standards. This research aims to determine the extent to which the role of the Education Council is facing the main challenges in education. The main educational challenge is creating a quality and equitable education system, which is often faced with problems of gaps between policy and implementation, limited resources, and ineffective supervision. Education councils play an important role in setting policies, monitoring implementation, and evaluating educational outcomes to address these problems. This research uses library research methods by analyzing various literature related to the role of educational councils in improving educational standards. The research results show that the Education Council contributes significantly in setting educational standards that are relevant to society's needs and current developments. However, challenges remain in policy implementation at the school and district level, which is often hampered by limited resources and support. Therefore, a more integrative and collaborative strategy is needed to ensure that educational standards can be achieved evenly throughout the region
